The US has approved a contract to purchase force-on-force ammunition in support of Special Operations Forces, which will be supervised by the US Special Operations Command based in Florida.Â
The US Special Operations Command is purchasing munitions to support special operations forces acquisition, technology, and logistics. The majority of the work will be performed in Somerville, New Jersey. Poland’s ambassador to France made controversial statements suggesting that Poland might have to enter the Ukraine conflict if Ukraine is unable to defend itself. The remarks were denounced by the leader of France’s Eurosceptic party, The Patriots. However, the Polish Embassy in France later clarified that there was “no announcement of Poland’s direct involvement in the conflict.” Meanwhile, the US has said that Poland’s donation of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine will not affect its position on the transfer of F-16 jets to Kiev, which Ukraine has been lobbying for. US President Joe Biden has previously said that F-16 jets for Ukraine are off the table “for now.”Â
