Russia launched 81 missiles at Ukraine on Thursday, including advanced hypersonic Kinzhals, killing at least six people and damaging the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant to show technological superiority.
On Thursday, Russia fired 81 missiles towards Ukraine, including six Kh-47M2 Kinzhal advanced hypersonic missiles. According to Kiev, the speed and maneuverability of hypersonic weapons prevent it from shooting them down. The air-launched Kinzhals have a top speed of Mach 10 and are more difficult to intercept. There is still doubt concerning the efficiency of these weapons, despite their development by militaries around the world. The Kinzhals were launched by Russia on Thursday to harm infrastructure and demonstrate its technological superiority. Moscow has previously employed them in Ukraine. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear reactor was destroyed and at least six people were killed by the rockets.
