At least 459 people have dead and hundreds have fled due to heavy fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. An Indian Air Force officer was seen saving a small child while India was helping to evacuate migrants from Sudan.Â
An Indian Air Force Garud Special Forces officer was captured on camera rescuing a young girl and carrying her to the C-130J Special Ops aircraft as India’s evacuation efforts in Sudan continue. The incident happened while evacuating Indian nationals from Sudan to Jeddah. India launched Operation Kaveri to rescue stranded Indians from the conflict-torn African nation. Fierce fighting broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on April 15, with at least 459 people losing their lives so far and thousands fleeing Sudan and neighboring countries. The UN special envoy to Sudan stated that there is no sign that either side is ready to seriously negotiate.Â
