The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet said Thursday that an airstrike in Jabalia, northern Gaza, targeted a command center used by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The IDF said the site was used to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and troops.
Palestinian media reported the strike hit Jabalia’s former police station. Local health authorities said 10 people were killed and dozens wounded. The identities of those killed were not immediately confirmed.

Defense Minister Israel Katz posted on X that while Israel’s military achievements are significant, the dangers and costs remain high. “Thousands of IDF soldiers in the standing army and reserves are now fighting in Gaza for the release of hostages and to destroy Hamas terrorists,” Katz said.
