The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes on several sites in Syria and Lebanon, targeting routes allegedly used to transfer weapons from Iran to Hezbollah on Wednesday.
The Syria-Lebanon border airstrike, as well as a series of attacks on Damascus neighborhoods and nearby suburbs, led to multiple casualties. Syria’s state news agency SANA confirmed that Israeli airstrikes struck two buildings in Damascus and Qudsaya, killing at least 15 people and injuring 16 more. An Associated Press journalist at the scene in Damascus’ Mezzeh district reported extensive damage to a five-story building after a missile hit its basement.

These strikes occurred as Ali Larijani, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was scheduled to meet with Palestinian representatives in Damascus.
In Lebanon, airstrikes targeted Hezbollah assets in Beirut’s Dahiyeh area and military sites in Baalbek, Tyre, and Nabatieh. Lebanese media reported that an Israeli strike in Baalbek killed nine and injured five others.
The IDF previously reported that it has destroyed most of Hezbollah’s weapons manufacturing and storage facilities in Beirut through dozens of strikes in recent months.
The IDF also released footage of a 32-barrel Hezbollah rocket launcher, reportedly aimed at Israeli territories, being destroyed in southern Lebanon. The launcher, located within what Israel designates as a “humanitarian zone,” was destroyed using precision strikes. In Gaza, a similar operation targeted a rocket launcher positioned in a densely populated “humanitarian zone.” The IDF stated that steps were taken to minimize civilian harm by issuing evacuation warnings and using precision munitions.

The IDF has conducted multiple operations in the West Bank as well, targeting armed groups affiliated with Islamic Jihad and Hamas. On Thursday, two Palestinian gunmen, including a senior terror operative, were killed by Israeli special forces in Tulkarm during a raid. The IDF claimed that one of those killed was the head of a local terror network responsible for organizing attacks against Israel.
