Afghan special forces killed two Daesh militants and arrested one in a raid in Nimroz province, as the terrorist group increases its attacks in Afghanistan. Â
Daesh, also known as ISIS, has been increasing its attacks in Afghanistan, targeting both Taliban patrols and Afghanistan’s Shia minority. However, Afghan special forces have killed two Daesh militants and arrested another in Nimroz province. The raid sparked a 30-minute clash, but there were no casualties among the troops or civilians. The regional affiliate of Daesh, known as Daesh-K, has been the Taliban’s main rival since the Taliban took over Afghanistan in August 2021. The Afghan government is committed to preserving Afghanistan’s sovereignty and boundaries and has no tolerance for Daesh’s presence in the country.Â
