On Wednesday, the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah launched a combined drone and missile attack targeting an Israeli border village, Arab al-Aramshe, in northern Israel. The attack resulted in 14 Israeli soldiers sustaining injuries, with six classified as severe. The Israeli military disclosed this as one of the more severe incidents in recent clashes with Hezbollah, a significant proxy of Iran in the region.
The attack involved two anti-tank rockets followed by an exploding drone, directed at an Israeli military unit stationed in the village.

Hezbollah’s actions were met with immediate retaliation by the Israeli military, which conducted strikes against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. This included a later strike inside Lebanon, notably in the Bekaa Valley, which is known for being a stronghold of Hezbollah support.
