Israeli troops engaged and killed four militants who were attempting to infiltrate into Israel from Lebanon. This incident occurred early Sunday in the Mount Dov region, known for its mountainous terrain and lack of a border fence. The area was heavily fogged, which initially helped the militants cross the border undetected.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spotted the militants during a routine patrol. When the soldiers encountered the infiltrators, a firefight broke out. The IDF used artillery and mortars to support their troops. All four militants were killed in the exchange.
Following the clash, five Israeli soldiers were taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment. Two of them were in moderate condition, and three had minor injuries.
