The commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, Denis Kapustin, has announced that his unit will launch additional raids into Russian territory from Ukraine with the intention of diverting military attention and exposing weaknesses.Â
Denis Kapustin, the self-proclaimed commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), has announced that his unit will conduct more raids into Russian territory from Ukraine. Kapustin, an extreme right-wing Russian nationalist known as White Rex, made the statement on the Ukrainian side of the border, accompanied by 30 fighters. He claimed that the purpose of these operations is to divert Russian military resources and expose vulnerabilities along the frontlines. Two armed groups, including the RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion, have claimed responsibility for the recent cross-border attack on Russia’s Belgorod region. Kapustin described his mission as a fight against injustice and torture under President Vladimir Putin, aimed at inspiring other Russians to act. The Russian military has vowed to respond harshly to any future incursions into its territory.Â
