The U.S. Army Contracting Command awarded contracts to Ensign Bickford Aerospace & Defense, BAE Systems Ordnance Systems Inc., and Belleville Shoe Manufacturing Co. for the procurement of explosives, addressing safety issues, and the production of safety footwear, respectively.
Ensign Bickford Aerospace & Defense and BAE Systems Ordnance Systems Inc. have been awarded contracts by the U.S. Army Contracting Command. Ensign Bickford will receive $108.5 million for the procurement of explosives, while BAE Systems will receive $46.4 million to address safety issues at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. Belleville Shoe Manufacturing Co. has also been awarded a $9.8 million modification for the production of safety boots, general purpose and flight deck shoes. The contracts were awarded through a bidding process conducted online, with only one bid received for each. Work locations and funding for each project will be determined separately, and the estimated completion dates range from 2024 to 2028.
