Former special forces soldier David Roytman repurposes his wartime experiences to create abstract art inspired by Jewish and Israeli themes, using a unique method that involves firing bullets through paint-filled sacks. 

David Roytman, a former special forces soldier from Ukraine, has turned his wartime experiences and weapons knowledge into abstract art that draws inspiration from Jewish and Israeli themes. After serving as a sharpshooter in Israel’s elite Duvdevan unit, Roytman fought in the Second Intifada and the Second Lebanon War. He later found work as a Jewish educator and in business before turning to art to cope with PTSD. His unique method involves firing bullets through paint-filled sacks to create abstract designs, and he has also developed stenciling techniques to depict Hebrew lettering and Jewish symbols. Roytman now runs galleries selling his artwork and luxury Judaica products.
