Accomplishments of US special operations forces, particularly Delta Force and JSOC, as well as three illustrious military figures: Beckwith, Bargewell, and McChrystal.Â
The three military leaders: Col. Charles Beckwith, Maj. Gen. Eldon Bargewell, and Stanley McChrystal. Beckwith created Delta Force, a special operations unit with counterterrorism and hostage-rescue capabilities, and his vision and leadership were instrumental in its success. Bargewell served in various special operations units and left his mark with Delta Force, where he commanded at all levels and played a key role in successful hostage rescues. McChrystal, who rose to prominence during the Iraq War, was a warrior at heart and a shrewd tactician who led JSOC in dismantling the insurgency and killing Al Qaeda’s top man in Iraq. Despite a blemish at the end of his career, he retired with his place secure as one of America’s greatest warriors.Â
